Why does the ink not show up on clear stamps?
Me and my mom were making dinner announcements with clear stamps and when we pressed it onto the black ink it didn't show up! We tried rubbing it in and then finally we just pressed it onto the paper and it was there! But we couldn't see it on the stamp itself. Why?
I have rubber stamps too and then bought the clear as it is easier to assemble what you want for words with the piece together alphabet.
I noticed that when I used the clear stamps I could see the ink, but faintly. It will stain your clear stamps, depending on the ink.
I believe that the clear stamps are made of a different substance of plastic. Also, the darker your stamp the darker the ink.
It has to do with reflective light. Just like the way light reflects through prisms.
