Looks Like Spring

What the hell is up with the snow here in Chicago? It's SPRING..?

A few days ago, it was finally starting to look like Spring [no snow], but then yesterday, I wake up, and look out the window to find a bunch of snow everywhere outside! grr
All my friends and I are sick of it! We want spring/summer already!
Is this even normal? When will it get warm??

Just because it is winter one day and 30º outside, then spring the next day doesn't mean that temperatures will shoot up 20º in one day. The start of the spring season only marks an astronomical event in which the Sun's rays strike the equator at a 90º angle.

Over time, as we get closer to summer, temperatures will go up and snow will decrease, as it does every year if you may have noticed. There have been blizzards as late as May in the U.S. The cold temperatures and snow you are seeing is very normal for this time of the year in Chicago. There will be weeks with unusually warm temps followed by a week of very cold temps, this will happen from time to time.

Do not worry, the sweltering summer heat will return to Chicago soon enough.

Stickers All Different

Im looking for some flowers and plants that do well in the Arizona or very hot climates. I prefer ones all yr

I live in Az and Im looking to plant some really pretty flowers that can survive heat and sun and that will grow all year around. Can someone point me to a website that shows different styles and colors? I hate cactus's and anything with stickers I have a daughter and a dog!

Pretty much any succulent plant will do well... i would suggest Mesembryanthemum and Portulaca: both enjoy hot dry sandy conditions and both have very spectacular flowers.

if you want shrubs, then try palms (date palm always looks good) or pomegranate, which likes dry conditions and has beautiful red trumpet flowers, followed of course by fruit.

Don't know any website guides but any local nursery of landscaper will be able to advise you.
