what craft supplies should i put in my craft box?

I'm going to the craft store tomorrow and already have some items, so far i have:

plain paper
coloured paper
markers
colouring pencils
wiggly eyes
pipe cleaners
scissors
pva glue
glue stick
sticky tape
pom poms
gemstones
denim
alphabet felt letters
lolly sticks
feathers

i was just wondering what other items i would need in order to do various crafts from special occasion crafts to scrapbooking? not just the basics here i'm looking for many other things to use

It sounds like you are going to have an absolute ball choosing new craft supplies

You could use some paper crafting tools if you want to make cards or scrapbook or make 3-d papercraft items. It is important to have a good paper trimmer, some good scissors and a bone folder, for example.

For scrapbooking, make sur you choose adhesives that are acid free Some glues/adhesives will interact with the chemicals in photos and destroy the look of your photos over time. Here's some information about different adhesives:

Scrapbooking Kit Paper

Vellum issues?

I have a bunch of vellum that has accumulated over the years of my scrapbooking and collecting kits. I don't know how to use it! How do you attatch it? Where's the best place to use it? Is it used best with patterned or plain paper? Help!
I have lots of pieces with words already printed on it

There are some scrapping adhesives that are made specifically for vellum (i.e. they don't show). I always have fun trying to come up with new ways to attach it, since I usually don't use the adhesives. I've used the decorative paper clips (or made my own), brads, wire, embroidery/sewing, eyelets, etc. I've poked holes, or punched holes, through the paper and threaded ribbon through it, and that always looks good. I like to print out my journaling on it. But be careful, it takes longer for the ink to dry (I apologize if you already know any of this, by the way...I hate it when I feel like I'm being lectured to, so I just thought I'd throw that in here). Before I realized it takes so long for the ink to dry, I did get some really fun effects out of it...I printed out my friend's name on beige vellum, using brown ink. I picked it up as soon as it came out of the printer, and kept touching the ink. After a few seconds, I noticed I had ink on my hand. But when I looked really closely at the paper, I realized that not ALL of the ink came off, which gave it a really cool aged look. I loved it! Sorry to go on and on, I just thought I'd share. Anyway, I prefer to use vellum with plain paper. If you're doing a layout on patterned paper, you can always mount the vellum on plain paper, then mount that on your layout. Happy scrapping!

Edit: Try tearing the vellum along one of the edges. It looks awesome!

How do you value the stamp at the bottom of a 24 inch Chinese porcelain urn? Thank you.?

Ink Pads All

This bites!!!!!!!?

I have little designs on my fingertips. They're like all swirly and odd looking. I scrub them everyday and try to get rid of them, but it doesn't seem to work. I bet I'm like an alien or something because once someone asked me to stick my fingertip onto a pad of ink and press it onto a piece of paper. What could this peculiar tradition be?? Does anyone else hathese strange markings??

ok.... those my dear are called "fingerprints"! theyare unique to every single person. just like the spots on a girrafe are completely unique from another. They stamp them so they can track you down if you ever do something really bad. they can find them on the scene of the crime and then refer to the paper where you stamped ur prints and if they math, they know to lock you up.

Chinese martial art movies without depressing endings?

I like movies like Hero, Curse of the Golden Flower, House of the Flying Daggers, and of course Crouching Tiger. The problem with all of these films? They all end the same damn way with the main characters dying. I get tired of the poetic, oh so tragic, bittersweet endings after a while.

Seriously, are there any films like those, but with happy endings? Japanese, and Korean films set in old time periods and with fighting will work too.

PS- This should be obvious, but the film doesn't have to be released in US/West.
